Catalyst Athletic Training

Regardless of the sport, the best raw athlete has an advantage that is hard to overcome for less gifted athletes, or kids that are just slower to mature physically. But can raw athletic ability be learned? Yes! With the right approach, the right technology and the right training, yes it can.
What is Catalyst Athletic Training?
Catalyst Athletic Training uses new training methods and technology to create body balance and symmetry, leading to a faster first step, a jump-reach 7 to 12 inches higher, and quicker, more powerful movement in all directions. This is the same program now being used by the NBA’s Cavaliers and Mavericks, as well as three of England’s Premier Soccer Clubs.
How does Catalyst Athletic Training work?
There are two key components of athletic performance that Catalyst Athletic Training addresses. The athlete is trained in both areas with every workout.
Speed and Agility:
We first evaluate the athlete’s movement pattern in all directions, (forwards, backwards and laterally), to identify “power leaks” (bio-mechanical deficits/imbalances) in the athlete’s movement. Then, through the use of a high speed treadmill, (really high speed – 31 mph!), and a pneumatic un-weighting system to safely harness the athlete, we begin to finely tune posture, gait and balance to address individual power leaks. As the athlete learns new, more efficient movement patterns they are able to adapt to higher and higher speeds, learning to move effortlessly in all planes of motion. Combining the speed work with core strengthening on vibration and mind blowing plyometric work, this is the most comprehensive speed and agility program available!
Strength and Power:
Catalyst Athletic Training does what cannot be done in a typical weight room by incorporating vibration into traditional core strength and athletic power lifting exercises. Adding vibration to any exercise causes muscles to respond involuntary with each vibration; 500 vibrations = 500 muscle responses; 2000 vibrations = 2000 muscle responses. When you place any part of your body on a vibration platform the effected muscles react to this added stimulus, producing involuntary muscle contractions. These contractions set into motion a series of events that result in increased strength, speed, stamina, flexibility, coordination and mobility. It also aids muscle and tissue recovery, collagen production, and fat reduction.
