Tennis Summer Camps
July 7 - August 8
Come join the fun and sun at the 2008 Summer Junior Tennis Camps held at the six outdoor courts at Willamette University.
Our mission is to create a fun, professional learning environment that encourages our students to excel in and create a passion for tennis. We strongly believe that the sport of tennis teaches skills such as teamwork and discipline that will help them for a lifetime. We are adding an additional high school camp this year.
Our camps are for kids from ages 8 to 18. Each 14-hour camp includes professional instruction from Courthouse certified USPTA professionals Brett all and Tim Catlin, a t-shirt, a water bottle, and a tournament with special prizes at the end of the camp.
Our beginning camp is for kids who are just beginning to play tennis. We emphasize strong fundamentals on all of the strokes and strategies. We utilize fun games and contests along with music to reinforce the fundamentals. We also use special training tennis balls where they learn how to play a real game.
Our intermediate camp is designed for the player who is more committed with the goal of playing competitive tennis. We also emphasize strong fundamentals on all strokes and strategies. We encourage the kids to work hard while having fun learning the sport of tennis. We accomplish this by using fast paced drills, music, fun games, and serious match play.
Our high school camp is designed for any high school player from the beginning to high intermediate level. We will adapt the groups according to the ability level of each student.
